Our tutors, Joanna and Jianpeng taught us about Chinese food, the rooms of the house, origami, Chinese songs, calligraphy and Chinese art and crafts. We can also have conversations using these words. We can ask each other where people are in the house or I want an apple – that kind of thing. It is great to practise our Chinese with each other like in everyday life.
Our photos show year 6 recording some podcasts at the end of term. To hear what we learnt listen to the sound files below. Podcasting is fun. We use a microphone with a memory stick in it, like journalists use. The sound files then get downloaded. Listening to our voices makes us learn better.
We don’t just learn the language though. We have learnt everything from Chinese Dancing to things about the Beijing Olympics. Learning about China and what happens in
